About GYP

Small groups.
Personal support.
Practical progress.

Gloucester Youth Project offers alternative education with practical activities, qualification pathways and support for personal development.

Our team builds positive relationships and clear routines, helping young people engage with learning and recognise their progress. Programmes can be tailored to learners’ needs, interests and starting points.

We support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), adapting how learning and evidence are approached while keeping expectations clear.

Testimonials

What schools say about GYP.

“One of GYP’s greatest strengths is the quality of the relationships its staff establish with young people. Their approach combines warmth and empathy with appropriate challenge and high expectations. They are particularly skilled at engaging pupils who have struggled to form positive relationships with education or who have found conventional approaches difficult. Young people are listened to and respected, but are also encouraged to take responsibility, overcome difficulties and recognise what they are capable of achieving.”
